Inflatable Queen Size Bed in an Instant
I'm kicking myself that I didn't photograph this bed when it was set up and made but the picture above will have to do since I did not think of it at the time. I bought this inflatable bed prior to BosUp 2008 in case anyone from out of town needed somewhere to crash. When it wasn't used, I debated returning it but decided it might be handy to have. This past week that time arrived when my niece visited & our guest room was already occupied by someone else.
I unboxed the bed & spread it out on the floor. There is a built in pump to inflate the bed. One simply needs to plug it in via its three foot cord and flick a switch. The fully inflated bed is queen size and sits 18.5 inches off the floor so it is not much lower then a standard bed. There is an elevated area at the head of the bed that serves as a pillow though you probably still want to use an external pillow. The top of the bed has soft flocking and can be made up with conventional queen size bedding.
I was worried the bed would be difficult to deflate and store away again but I need not have been concerned. When finished, one simply plugs in the pump again and turns the dial in the opposite direction to fully deflate the bed. Then simply fold up the bed and slip into the handy carrying bag which comes with it. It even comes with a kit to patch the bed should it suffer any punctures but the material it is made from is very sturdy so it seems difficult to puncture unless, perhaps, one took it camping outdoors.
I was very happy with this product which is why I am sharing it with you. It is very handy to have and I'm glad I made this purchase. With a price tag of fifty dollars it is considerably less than a standard queen size bed and takes very little room to store.
